59E59 Theaters – NYC Off-Broadway Theater Schedule & Tickets
59E59 Theaters is one of New York City's premier Off-Broadway destinations, presenting a curated, year-round program of plays and musicals on East 59th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Established in 2004 by the Elysabeth Kleinhans Theatrical Foundation, the venue champions non-profit theater companies bringing original and innovative productions to New York City audiences. Located at 59 East 59th Street in the heart of East Midtown Manhattan, the complex houses three intimate theater spaces — Theater A, Theater B, and Theater C — all designed by architect Leo Modrcin to create a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment for live performance. Under Artistic Director Val Day and Managing Director Brian Beirne, 59E59 Theaters does more than just open its doors: it provides resident companies with production support, ticketing services, front-of-house management, marketing, and press resources. Remarkably, participating theater companies receive 80% or more of ticket revenue and pay no weekly rent to 59E59, making the venue a true incubator for Off-Broadway talent. The building itself was donated to the Foundation in 2002 and underwent a complete renovation before opening, cementing its place as a permanent home for emerging and established theatrical voices.
