Rush Gideon Home, Kitchen & Gift Catalog

RushGideon — styled as one word on the company's own site — was a mail-order and online catalog built around what its own pages called "an uncommon collection of products from around the world": kitchen and entertaining pieces, tea and barware, home decor, jewelry, and outdoor living items sold from a single Midwest warehouse. The company launched its first catalog in 2004 and operated as RushGideon, LLC out of an office and warehouse at 11160 Aurora Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, according to the company's own "About Us" page, archived by the Wayback Machine while the business was still shipping orders. Five founders — named on that page as Neil, Scott, Steve, Tammy, and Janet — said they named the business after the grandfather of one of them, a retailer active roughly a century before the catalog launched, and described the company's approach as "the old fashioned way of doing business rooted in honesty, respect, compassion, and fairness."
